NURSERY SCHOOL SAMPLE LESSON PLAN

TARGET GOALS/OBJECTIVES: 

To acquire thinking skills.  To apply knowledge to new situations and to develop strategies for solving problems. 

CHANGES TO CLASSROOM:

• Taking out old animal puzzles, putting in new animals
• Taking out soft blocks and putting in colored wooden blocks in its place
• Putting soil in sensory table

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES I PLAN TO OFFER THIS WEEK:

Monday – Do fingerplays “Who is that?” and “Kitten is Hiding”.

Tuesday – Play with barnyard animals and all wooden and cardboard blocks.

Wednesday – Glue feathers to paper and read story In the Big Red Barn.

Thursday – Take a wagon ride around the playground.

Friday – Read the story with the touch and feel kitten on it. 

CHANGES TO DAILY ROUTINES:

Welcome new child to our classroom. 

FAMILY INVOLVEMENT:

Give new classroom welcome packet to new family and ask them to fill out a transition form and questionnaire. 

THINGS TO DO LIST:

• Get welcome packet ready.
• Buy more soil for sensory table.
• Get books in classroom.

GOALS WE ARE WORKING ON:

• Pour milk from small pitcher to cup all by self
• Stack 6 shapes on peg board train
• Roll ball back and forth with peers and adults
• Put shoes on by self
• Washes and rinses hands by self
• Uses potty
• Knows basic shapes
• Understand concepts of up and down and in and out
• Apply tempo and jump to the beat
• Use glue sticks and glue different kinds of materials to paper
• Scoop and dump cereal into bowl.
• Peels off stickers and puts on paper
• Lines up jacket with hood laying at feet and does the pancake flip to put on
• Takes off own shirt unassisted.
• Soft touches.
